Will it Ever Stop?

The beautiful and highly successful Angela Simmons took to her blog on Global Grind to vent her frustrations. It seems as if she is being treated rather harshly due to the color of her boyfriends' skin (smh). We have discussed this a many day here at the Queendom. Its just a damn shame people can't get past a person's color, of course this hatred just had to be coming from our own people right? Why? When will we learn? Our brothers don't care what you think about them dating outside of their race, they are doing so in record numbers. So why not ease up and allow this beautiful young lady room to grow, and experiences life? I'm just saying.

Angela had this to say:

Hello Global Grinders!

It has been a while since my last post but I've been super busy traveling all over the place..sheessh :)

Now that I have a moment to sit down and reflect, I wanted to talk to you about something I have recently noticed. I am a lil surprised at the number of people that seem to disapprove of the relationship with my boyfriend. I find this reality to be kind of hard to accept. There are times when I notice people giving us long hard stares and those stares are usually from my own people!

Honestly, I wish everyone could benefit from the beauty that can come from experiences that happen outside of your own comfort zone. It is truly a beautiful thing that can add so much to your life.

Give it a shot and you can learn so much from a person you never thought you'd talk to or have something in common with. I'm not just talking about dating but about all types of relationships.

Sometimes society makes it hard for us to be comfortable enough in our own skin to embrace others who are different.

I am a firm believer that we are all the same.

Basically what I'm saying is love everyone. Rise above the hate.

I don't feel like this subject gets enough attention, so I thought I would share this with my GG family.

Ok, well I'm done preaching! I'm going back to work...

Love ya :)
Angela

Stay Blessed & Happy Locing!
