So are we going to see this Queens? I am in no way hating on Ciara, or being negative when it is clear this is a grand opportunity for her. But lets face it, Ciara is not the best singer out there in Hollywierd, and when I saw this stage play, the woman who played Ciara's part was F-I-E-R-C-E! When I think of Ciara's little, powerless voice playing this part, I am unsure it will have the same powerhouse effect. What do you ladies think?
i couldn't agree more. i saw this play when i was 10 years old. though i'm not sure who played the part then, i remember the woman's voice being powerful. desiree coleman played the role for a while as well. ciara is an entertainer like janet jackson....not a sanger like d'atra hicks, which, by the way i think starred in the play when i saw it...it just came to me...LOLOL
Well I have never seen the play and I am guess you Queens that have had that soul shaking chest tightening feeling of emotion when you saw and heard Ciara character sing... My emotions were kind of flat watching the trailer... which I am very sorry to say.
Mocka, You dont have to be sorry. Just take a listen to her, "Fantasy Ride CD" thats an indication of what were going to get in this movie. Lawd, you mean to tell me nobody else wanted to play that role? SMH
