Loc'd Beauty of the Week

This sexy, and beautiful loc'd beauty is Natacha. I discovered her on Facebook...I love social networking. Even more, I love her thick and gorgeous locs. If I could start all over again, I would choose this size. They are simply marvelous, and intricately kept. Anyway, continue to read on about the loc'd beauty of the week....

I'm a first generation Haitian-American. I've lived in the Washington DC Metropolitan area all my life and I work in the IT Field. I'm a pretty energetic, spontaneous, humorous, and happy person.

I have always loved locks, but never thought they were for me. I realized in 2005 that there were so many different ways that you could approach locking and I could make it my own instead of thinking it would look like someone else's hair. So, I started seriously considering the idea. Then I came across so many photos of locked hair that I thought were absolutely gorgeous (I was admittedly loc crazy at that point.. lol). For the first time, I realized that it was definitely for me and became committed to the idea in late 2005.

I began my journey thru TSTs on December 29th, 2005 and have been in love ever since. I have had ups and downs during this journey, but who doesn't with their hair (I mean really)?? I have learned so much about myself and my hair during this journey that I can only be thankful for the continued experience. One of many things I will take from this experience is learning patience. I started a locking photo-journal to help me see my progress and it was key in assisting me to learn patience. I was inspired by so many other sisters and their locking journals and now the tables have turned and I am flattered that others are inspired by mine.

Inspirations and blessings... Natacha Romain
