Hi All,

Its been a great summer so far for me; even with its ups and downs I can truly say I am on my right path. I am currently writing my second novel, the follow-up to High Stakes, the Sunday radio show has been great and super interesting, and I'm still pushing on in my nonprofit, Purple W.I.N.G.S.

The hair regimen hasn't changed much, as you can see I am letting my bangs grow out. I have probably gained about 2 1/2 inches over the summer, and I'm going to continue to allow it to grow. Just washing every two weeks, leave in conditioner, and go. I retwist what's visible, and allow the other locs to do their thing. I'm over super tightly twisted roots. I feel as though, as long as they are clean, and presentable that's enough.

What summer styles are you rocking? Let me know!

Stay Blessed & Happy Locing!

First off, your hair looks fabulous.

As for me, I'm also letting my hair do its thing this summer. I'm finally going to combine my thin dreads and take my hair's health into my hands.

I already don't twist (I freeform), but right now I'm not even separating my roots at all. I'm letting them naturally join up and I'll be combining by the end of summer.

This sounds like a good plan! I think I was putting too much tension along the hairline, so by leaving it alone it has grown back tremendously. The sun in the summer is damaging enough without all the twisting and tugging. Thanks for the compliment!
