Hmmm... I guess its really not all good huh? Just as Chris Rock is enjoying his warm reception by Hollywood, and the black community over the opening of his movie, Good Hair Fox News is reporting documentary film maker, Regina Kimbell is suing him.
It appears Regina Kimbell showed Mr. Rock her documentary, Oh My Nappy Hair back in 2007 on the set of his show, Everybody Hates Chris. She further contends that it was during this screening Chris got his idea to do his film, Good Hair. She states this is unfair competition and is seeking no less than $5 mm in damages and attorney fees.
Hmm....I wouldn't put it past him. I mean lets face it, we are all motivated by something but it would be a crying shame if in fact he did rip this poor lady off! Why didn't he just partner up with her, and do the film alongside here? Bring her in? Seriously...this is why we can't get further as a people, always divide and conquer, smh.
