Kasi Lemmons....

Kasi Lemmons is an American film director and actress, notable for her films Eve's Bayou, The Caveman's Valentine and Talk to Me. Ooh, I loved Eve's Bayou, I know I have watched that movie like 10 times!

Lemmons played Ardelia Mapp in The Silence of the Lambs. She had a cameo appearance in Spike Lee's School Daze during a montage of Half-Pint's (Spike Lee) potential conquests. She also played in the nortorius scary flick, Candyman!

Lemmons was born Karen Lemmons in St. Louis, daughter of a poet/psychotherapist mother and a biology teacher father. Her first name is pronounce "Casey."

You need to know this sistah in charge, because there aren't very many black Directors out there, and especially sisters!
