Hi All,

Its been a great summer so far for me; even with its ups and downs I can truly say I am on my right path. I am currently writing my second novel, the follow-up to High Stakes, the Sunday radio show has been great and super interesting, and I'm still pushing on in my nonprofit, Purple W.I.N.G.S.

The hair regimen hasn't changed much, as you can see I am letting my bangs grow out. I have probably gained about 2 1/2 inches over the summer, and I'm going to continue to allow it to grow. Just washing every two weeks, leave in conditioner, and go. I retwist what's visible, and allow the other locs to do their thing. I'm over super tightly twisted roots. I feel as though, as long as they are clean, and presentable that's enough.

What summer styles are you rocking? Let me know!

Dating Emotionally Unavailable Men 07/22 by Naturally Speaking

Catch the show next Sunday, Dating Emotionally Unavailable Men! 7/22/12 at 6PM EST.

We all have done it, you are probably still doing it...dating men who are emotionally unavailable.  You know the guy you swear you can change, the one that needs just a little more time to commit. He might be messing around with you on the side, or perhaps you are the only one. It really doesn't matter...what matters is that you are somewhere holding out on hope that your man will finally realize what a great woman you are. Guess what? He won't!

Nerissa and I will discuss what an emotionally unavailable man is, how you can avoid one, and why you should. Tune in to learn, and listen to wise women who have been there and done that. Special guest scheduled to call in and give you further insight! Ladies this is one show you do not want to miss!

Update!

(Girl I'm up there looking like a chocolate candy bar. This is how deep and dark I go when I get an airbrushed tan!)

Hey hey fam! It's been more than a minute, but Writing Addict has been busy, busy, busy! So many life altering changes, and absolutely no time for anything extra. However, I am prioritizing and going to fit some Queendom time in even if it kills me! Okay, maybe not that extreme but you get the picture.

Its July already, the year is half gone and I've been getting my life straight, in order, and reaching for maximum happiness! Hair wise, I couldn't be happier...my locs are thick, roots healthy, and I've been rocking them with pride!

I must say its hot as fish grease outside, so its essential to rock them in a style that will protect your edges, and free you up from weight and heat. So here are few styles I've been rocking to do just that this summer:

An elegant top knot for a classy night out.
Pipe cleaner curls draws the locs up, and you can manipulate them as they are super curly.
Okay this ain't me, but I did mimic this hairstyle, when I went out one night. Hot to death!
Just grabbed locs, and braided them and rocked them to the side. The top right pic I rocked my Lady Ga Ga bow to keep them out of my face.
This pic is old, but when my crinkles start to fall and get old, I rock this topknot.

Send me pictures of your cute summertime do! Send them to toshlac@gmail.com so I can post them on the blog!
