I'll be in New York!

Hey Queens, I will be in New York to attend the Women's Federation for World Peace Conference, "We, Unlocking the Power of We!" I will speak at this even on Aug 5th, but it is a 3 day long conference which will end with a gala. I have my dancing shoes ready, but am really nervous about how to wear my hair. This is New York, and I know they have been experiencing a heat wave. So my Queens any suggestions about how to wear my hair for this particular event?

For many years I walked around feeling closed in.  Feeling as though the world was a place I just didn't fit in.  I saw the girls on TV and what everyone else seemed to say was beautiful.  I dated boys and men that expressed what they thought was a  called "dime piece" and I tried to imitate whatever it was they perceived was beauty.  At that time I didn't realize that I was loosing myself......  Then one day I looked up and I had a daughter. A beautiful chocolate baby girl with the most beautiful smile and glow to her eyes that made my heart melt.  When I looked at her I knew I had to be the one that showed her that her skin, hair and everything about her was beautiful.  At that moment I decided I would go natural.  That's how GOD made me and who am I to change or alter the shell that he has made just for me!

I've missed blogging the happenings! You ladies already know all the shenanigans I've been up too. So much good stuff going on, makes it hard to slow down and blog. However, I won't ever leave ya'll hanging like that! With that being said, I finally have an assistant blogger who I trust with my Queens!

She is not only a natural hair enthusiast, but a dear friend as well. I've watched her transformation, and was even a part of it! I did her big chop, and since then she has really been on an incredible journey! \
